Dormer Loft Conversion in Wandsworth

We converted the loft of this first floor flat in Wandsworth with a dormer loft extension. Our clients were first time buyers who wanted to increase the value of their one-bedroom flat in Wandsworth. The flat is in a Victorian terraced house that was converted into two flats, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. We added a simple dormer loft conversion under permitted development. The dormer loft conversion featured a large bedroom with a French door to the rear and Juliette Balcony and a Velux window to the front of the bedroom. The bedroom also had a large ensuite with a frosted glass partition. The bathroom also had a Velux window. The landing of the loft conversion featured a roof window which flooded the landing and stairwell with light. We completed this lovely loft conversion for our client who went on to sell the property, at a profit and purchase another property in Wandsworth. We also carried out an extension for this client in their new property.

L-shaped Mansard Loft Conversion in Wandsworth

On this treelined street in Wandsworth, we converted the loft of a first floor flat in a Victorian Terraced property. The property was originally converted into a ground floor and first floor flat, both with access to a shared garden. The first floor flat had two bedrooms to the front of the property with one large bedroom and one small box room. To the rear of the flat was a small kitchen and off the kitchen was a small bathroom. Our clients wanted to add another bedroom to the property along with moving the bathroom from the first floor and its location just off the kitchen up to the loft conversion; they wanted to make the bathroom a more appropriate size for a three-bedroom flat. In addition, our clients wanted to add some private outside space with a roof terrace.

We designed an L-shaped Mansard loft conversion for our clients. For this project, we had to apply for planning permission for our clients as we had to raise the ridge of the roof and carry out an extension above part of the two-storey back addition for the formation of a roof terrace. 8 weeks after submitting the planning application, Wandsworth Council granted permission and we started on site. We erected a full tin roof over this project as we were removing all the roof of the building and thereby exposing it to the elements. We worked quickly and methodically to strip and rebuild the roof and get the flat and building protected from the elements.

We created a lovely loft space for our clients that included a large bedroom with lots of eaves storage and French doors with a Juliette balcony, a large family bathroom and a private roof terrace with views over London. Our highly skilled build team directed by our Project Manager ensured that this loft conversion was finished to the highest standard and that a beautiful space was handed over to our clients.
