For a hip to gable loft conversion the roof hip is removed, a new gable wall is raised from the existing walls of the house and the remaining pitched roofline is extended to meet it. The gable wall is usually built up in brick or render to match the existing gable wall.
Velux Loft Conversion
A Velux loft conversion is the simplest of all loft conversion types and is also considered the cheapest way to convert your loft space. It doesn’t require any roof extension but simply a reinforcement and internal reconfiguration of the existing loft and addition of Velux windows to one or both sides of the roof.

Mansard Loft Conversion in Fulham
We renovated and carried out a Mansard loft conversion on a first floor flat just off Fulham Palace Road close to where Fulham Football Club are located at Craven Cottage. This first floor flat in Fulham was purchased by our clients in a state of disrepair and in desperate need of renovation and extension. We turned a two-bedroom first floor flat into a spacious three-bedroom Maisonette with an open plan kitchen and living space. On this project we completely reconfigured the whole flat, we converted the loft with an L-shaped mansard roof squaring off the top making full head height space from the front to the back of the property. We converted the loft space into a large open plan kitchen, diner and spacious living area. The first floor we converted into three large bedrooms, one with an ensuite and a large family bathroom. Overall our clients were delighted with the result and we have gone on and worked with these clients on two more projects!
Dormer Loft Conversion in Fulham
We completed a dormer loft conversion at a Victorian Terraced property in Fulham. The property, located on the border of Fulham and Earls Court is situated on a lovely tree lined residential street with schools and parks nearby so a great place for our clients and their family. This property in its original form was a three-bedroom house with an existing Mansard loft which required renovation. Our clients wanted to add a rear dormer loft conversion in order to add another bedroom with an ensuite. For this project we designed a new layout for the first floor, our clients needed to have larger bedrooms and to change the location of the bathroom on the first floor. We moved the small bathroom from the side of the property, just off the landing to the rear out crop of the property, which was a box room, and the two other bedrooms were increased in size due to this move. On the upper floor we added the rear dormer loft conversion, we created a large bedroom with an ensuite. Although we didn’t add more bedrooms to this property, we reconfigured to and added space to the bedrooms and added a much-needed larger family bathroom on the first floor and a very functional master bedroom and ensuite in the loft conversion. This was a great project and allowed our clients to remain in an area they loved and get more living space.
Mansard Loft Conversion in Fulham
We carried out a beautiful Mansard Loft Conversion to a Victorian Terraced house in Fulham. This was a full house renovation and loft conversion in Fulham where our clients wanted to incorporate some lovely finishes including timber cladding of the outside, a roof terrace and a Juliet balcony. For this project we completely renovated the first floor which had three large bedrooms and a shower room. We enlarged the bathroom (taking some space from the larger bedroom to the rear of the property), which allowed us to add a bath and make it a good size family bathroom. For the Mansard Loft Conversion, we added a large master suite with a dressing room. The loft conversion also included a large shower room. To the rear of the property, rather than adding another bedroom, we created a lovely roof terrace giving prime views over London. The Mansard loft conversion was clad in a beautiful burnt cedar timber cladding giving it a very unique but luxurious finish.
