Rear L-shaped Dormer Loft Conversion in Battersea

We carried out a rear L-shaped dormer loft conversion to a first floor flat in Battersea. This loft conversion enlarged our client’s property from a one bedroom, one bathroom flat to a three bedroom and two-bathroom property. It significantly increased the space in our client’s home. The client’s wanted us to bring the project from conception through to completion. We started with the design phase and planning application. Once planning had been granted and works scheduled, our team started the next phase onsite. Scaffold was erected, in this case we covered the property with a tin roof as the works were being carried out in the autumn and it was important to protect from the inclement weather. The next phases moved quickly from roof removal, through steel installation to rebuilding the roof and walls. Once the structure was watertight the next phase was first fix plumbing and electrics, then plastering and second fix adding the fixtures, fittings and sanitary wear in the bathroom.

There were some nice additional features to this project, including air-conditioning installed throughout the loft space and a significant amount of storage cupboards installed in the eaves. Our build team was onsite for 8 weeks with the whole build process was managed by our project management team. The property type is typical housing stock in Battersea; a terraced Victorian property with the first floor and ground floor being separate flats.

L-shaped Dormer Loft Conversion in Battersea

We completed an l-shaped dormer loft conversion on a first floor, one bedroom flat in Battersea. This Battersea loft conversion resulted in a one-bedroom flat being converted into a three-bedroom maisonette. We also carried out a full refurbishment of the first floor, replacing the kitchen and renovating the existing lounge, bathroom and bedroom.
