FMB
Creative Spaces is a member of The Federation of Master Builders (FMB), which is the UK's largest trade association in the building industry. Established in 1941, the FMB is an independent and non-profit making body. Whilst formed to protect building firms and act as a lobby group, the FMB also provides advice to consumers via its “Find A Builder” and “Check A Member” web pages. In order to become a member of the FMB, Creative Spaces was vetted and was deemed to have met the membership criteria including:
- Offering Build Assure options to customers
- Obtained a TrustMark license
- Underwent an inspection of jobs by an FMB inspector
- Have valid employer and public liability insurance
- Signed up to the FMB code of practice
The TrustMark
The FMB is an operator of the TrustMark, which is a Government support scheme to help consumer to find reliable and trustworthy builders and specialized trades people.
Creative Spaces are proud to say that we are a TrustMark company. In order to join TrustMark, Creative Spaces had to undergo a vetting process to assess our technical skill. An independent assessor conducted regular on-site inspections and other background checks in order to approve Creative Spaces. Build Assure
As a member of the FMB, Creative Spaces can offer Build Assure warranties covering all building work and other construction-related activities.
Why choose a Build Assure warranty?
Build Assure through the FMB offers a wide choice of insurance policy types and lengths to suit you individual project requirements. Having a build assure policy will give you access to FMB expert and qualified surveyors. The Build Assure warranty includes a free conciliation service and an efficient and robust claims handling procedure in the unlikely event that things may go wrong. Each policy is underwritten by well respected insurance companies. An option to have an inspection service during and pre-completion of works is also provided. As a wholly owned subsidiary of the FMB - Build Assure is approved by the largest trade association in the UK building industry.
